Watchlist 4-23-2014 – $FXEN, $AXAS, $CXDC, $HIL, $BIOF

Another solid green day yesterday, though nothing to brag about. I think I was up roughly $650ish. Seemed tough to find my sort of play yesterday, and for sure no slam dunks so I was just in full on grind mode. Much like Monday, at least I got a lot done during the day as well. So while profit is “ok” I’m happy with it considering the setups.

Today’s List: Full list from Yahoo Finance

FX Energy Inc. (FXEN) -NasdaqGS

Almost shorted this several times, but convinced myself it was only out of boredom. Glad I stayed away yesterday, but a lot of these POS oil and gassers seem to be losing momentum.

FXEN

Abraxas Petroleum Corp. (AXAS) -NasdaqCM

This was my best trade of the day yesterday, though of course I only caught a small part of the move. I covered at $5.20, it fell into the $4.90’s. Still looks pretty weak.

AXAS

China XD Plastics Company Ltd. (CXDC) -NasdaqGM

Been watching this for several days, I was hoping for a much bigger spike to short into. At this point its becoming kind of lame. If nothing happens today I’ll probably quit watching it, kind of boring.

CXDC

Hill International, Inc. (HIL) -NYSE

Another boredom short and an NYSE stock… I shorted this late afternoon and was up decent but it was so boring I let it come back on me. I have a feeling this will only crack if the market gets shitty. But I was basically flat so I decided to hold over night. Meh…. Does seem to be losing steam at least.

HIL

BioFuel Energy Corp. (BIOF) -NasdaqCM

Another annoying shitty stock that refuses to break down. I spent way to much time watching it yesterday and all it did was spike. This is another one that I’m giving up on after today.

BIOF

  1. Thanks

Trading wise, yesterday boooored me to death. Tried $FXEN, $PBR, $HIL, but they all did nothing. After spending all day watching paint dry I yelled at myself that I should have shutdown and worked on my to do list instead. Today looks to be a lot more volatile. Thank goodness!!
