My lack of interesting plays on scan yesterday kept me away. At this point glad I didnt trade, $EVOK was one that I obviously missed out on. But I think by staying away and not trading I probably came out ahead on a day like yesterday. Would I have traded $EVOK well? Who knows, but if I stuck around for 8 hours and stared at screens and forced some other mediocre trades, most likely I’d give any gains back….
Similar day today and its a friday and I have things to do outside of trading including a meeting at 9AM. So likelihood I trade today is very low.
Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (PACB) -NasdaqGS
I’m short biased, but don’t think this is done yet. I have an alert set at $6.00 but if that goes off afternoon on a Friday, no way I short it. Ideally this goes crazy, squeezes shorts and I’m ready on Monday.
Target: $6.00+
Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET) -NasdaqGS
As long as this sits at this $6.00-$6.20 level I’ll ignore. Waiting for either a crack under $6.00 or some sort of para “squeeze em out” type move. I really think the only reason its staying up at this point is shorts keep adding waiting for that crack under $6.00. So at this point longs have no reason to sell and will just sit and wait.
Target: $5.90 breakdown or a para move towards $7.00, if it just grinds up I won’t short.
Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd. (CANF) -NYSE MKT
Trevena, Inc. (TRVN) -NasdaqGS
This are more slow fade type setups, not going to enter today but they are watches for next week. Plan is the same on both, short pops.
Illiquid, had this last week at $28 and covered, looking to re-enter back at $28.
Target: $28.00
Arch Coal Inc. (ACI) -NYSE
Ton’s of bashers, so makes me think this hangs around a while yet. I’ll only short big para’s I could see this being a classic “daytrade that turns into a swing trade”.
Target: Big pops, $6.00?
Lululemon Athletica Inc. (LULU) -NasdaqGS
Did ok on this, but never got full size. But I don’t trust big names like this.
Target: high $54’s
Axion Power International Inc. (AXPW) -NasdaqCM
Squeeze em out, then I’ll look to short.
Target: Higher the better, ideally afternoon fade.
Vitae Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (VTAE) -NasdaqGM
Target: $16.00
Trevena, Inc. (TRVN) -NasdaqGS
Just watching for now, hope for a big squeeze/para.
Meh day yesterday, totally F’d up $NSPH for puny profits. In hindsight a slam dunk, I had smart size, did not go to big too soon, but just was totally impatient and unwilling to let it go against me even by a couple pennies. Working on paitience and conviction today. Need to write my plans down instead of mental, went into $NSPH without writing a plan down physically. Annoying.
Glad I stayed away yesterday, annoying all day grinder. This is the kind that moves slow enough that I will not cover and get nicked on the way up. Hoping for a para towards $4 for a starter.
KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (KBIO) -NasdaqGM
No borrows for me yesterday, but I never tried that hard to locate.
Target: Any pops, stop on $4.00
Midstates Petroleum Company, Inc. (MPO) -NYSE
Will be patient and stalk this, ideally runs then puts in a nice top for a HOD reject type play.
A good day on Friday. Looking forward to getting back to work after the long weekend off. I like this list, some solid setups as long as they come to me. Market looks to gap up big at this point, so I may not trade right after the open. But will wait for my price targets.
A little too slow of a grinder for me, but will watch for para type spikes.
Target: Big move to the upside
Trevena, Inc. (TRVN) -NasdaqGS
Hoping this shakes out early shorts, probably a lot of stops at $12, will look to start to short around $12.50
Target: $12.50
KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (KBIO) -NasdaqGM
“Everybody” bashing this, so I assume it spikes, will wait for a big move and then the backside. Ideally spikes hard first thing, sets a top then fades all day.
Target: Big move up ($5+) then fading volume.
SunEdison, Inc. (SUNE) -NYSE
I keep stacking up small gains on this over the last few weeks, I should probably leave it alone or else I’ll get cocky and give the gains back. Watching, but will only short “huge” and I mean “huge” upmoves, $13-$14+.
Target: $13.99
Vera Bradley, Inc. (VRA) -NasdaqGS
A little too “real” for my tastes. But I like the chart.
I’m still in “chill out” mode from the week gone. I’m a die hard short seller, and its always scary to short on Friday’s and doubly so going into holiday weekends. Solid list of setups here, but with the big jobs report coming etc. I’m only going to trade at my prices and probably small size.
After 5 day’s in the mountains hunting with little to no internet access I plan on being in watch mode all morning. Have a few things to do around the house to get caught up too. Not going to rush any trades. Things look pretty hot while I was gone so I don’t want to get to aggressive.
