I have a meeting at 9AM so that jacks up my favorite part of the trading day. Then I usually am not a fan of shorting Friday afternoons so I’ll probably just end up doing random to do’s most of the day today. On top of that just not seeing anything that juicy on watch. Lots and lots of crappy oil and gas and “real” stuff like JCP that just aren’t ready yet. Been an annoying second half of week as well. Had a good trade on ZIOP yesterday, thought I’d hold for a washout then it bounced for a small loss. While I always subscribe to the “Nail and Bail” theory you have to 10X your speed at nailing and bailing right now.
Considering the meeting, nothing great on scan and my desire to get other things done, I think it’s a perfect day to take off.
Considering these are just watches for mainly next week I’m not going to post charts, you can always hit the Yahoo finance link below to get the charts from there.
Also I am starting to record my Part Time Pennystocking DVD, it will be priced affordably and I hope will offer solid value. If you want to be notified feel free to join my mailing list on the upper right of this blog. Thanks
Great day yesterday! Traded my plan across the board and was done by noon. Other than entering mid day even my loser was a solid trade. Feel like I’m reaching a little on some of these setups today. I also need to leave this afternoon. Two back to back good days so I will focus on letting things come to me. Plus trading a lot of tickers the last couple days I don’t like that habit. Going to really force myself to be selective today, especially since I’m not in love with anything.
Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (PACB) -NasdaqGS
Gasp! Of course $PACB is on the list, I had the idea (credit @investorslive) to go long a couple days ago instead of fighting short. Never took it. I’m not going to be a hero on this short, highly doubt I trade it today, just watching for some crazy and I mean CRAZY move up. Otherwise solely on watch to keep an eye for backside.
Target: Huge move up, $9.00+
Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET) -NasdaqGS
Not sure if I fully understand the news and how bad it is. I won’t chase but looking for pops to short.
Target: $6.20-$6.30
Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd. (CANF) -NYSE MKT
Had this on “backburner” watch forever it seems, every time it spikes I have alerts go off, but never enter. Watching for more spikes.
Target: $5.00+ with stop on $5.50
SunEdison, Inc. (SUNE) -NYSE
If you have visited this blog anytime in the last two months, I’m pretty sure you know the plan on $SUNE.
Target: $10.00
Advaxis, Inc. (ADXS) -NasdaqCM
I’m probably a little too biased but thinking this is total short squeeze, it will give it all back, but there will be spikes in between now and then. I want no pain from it, so I will short “squeeze em out” pain moves.
Target: Not sure on a price, will be watching for a para type move, the kind of move we all capitulate on and cover in anger. This could grind all day then hit that move. Will only short a BIG candle.
Bonanza Creek Energy, Inc. (BCEI) -NYSE
Stone Energy Corp. (SGY) -NYSE
Shitty energy plays, tied to oil, both NYSE, meh. I’ll watch/trade these only if there is nothing else. Basically if oil eats shit, they will eat shit, if oil holds up, they will hold up. What do I know about the movement of oil? Hmm how about absolutely nothing….
Typical Friday, going to widen my price targets and trade smaller. Only add to winners no scaling into a loser. I am adamant that I’m in cash over the weekend so I’m not going to get “trapped” in any losers.
Everybody wants this short, so it will squeeze. Odds are this ends up a “coulda woulda shoulda” for me. But I want low stress today.
Target: $5+ for a starter then cover for small loss, and only add to a winner, no losing adds.
Fitbit Inc. (FIT) -NYSE
Longterm this will be a killer short. Short term its jumpy and in the media all the time.
Target: $40.50 with a stop on $41.00
Intra-Cellular Therapies, Inc. (ITCI) -NasdaqGS
I still think this has room to run, plus its Friday and probably a bunch of shorts looking to cover. Highly doubt I’ll trade it today, more keeping it on watch as a reminder for next week.
Arrowhead Research Corp. (ARWR) -NasdaqGS
Short pops for a fade.
Target: $7.60’s with a stop on the high from a couple days ago.
Advaxis, Inc. (ADXS) -NasdaqCM
After botching this for a profit yesterday I’m just kind of curious. I’m too dumb to figure out fi the data is good or bad. My thought is it fades. But that chicanery yesterday is confusing to me.
Target: $20.25 stop on $20.50
Aerie Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AERI) -NasdaqGM
I had a trade plan to short this at $31.90, (I have the notecard for proof!) which would have been a killer entry, but I was so locked on $ADXS, and new their presentation and the Fed were coming up at 2PM. So I just stayed out.
Target: Thinking this is entering “backside” territory. Will look to short pop’s, but again small. I’m not going to get stuck in it over the weekend. $31.00-$31.50
$AERI Waited for a para but didnt take it, see above photo. I just hate to enter pre market on these crazy runners. Will watch for another squeeze out para Target: $36
$ADXS SS @ $20.00
$CANF SS @ $3.00
$COLL SS @ $23.00
$ITCI Not my standard play, but I’m going to try and buy dips. Long @ $50.50
$WGBS Just watching hoping it gets crazy. But not interested at this $2.00 level
Considering the market seemed to be nonstop grind up yesterday I’m surprise by the lack of interesting setups on the “gainers scan”. Not a big fan of all these higher priced stocks to watch, there is hardly anything interesting in the $5-$15 range. After a frustrating day yesterday breaking my plans I am going to firmly stick with what I decide at 9:15AM. If that means I make no trades today so be it. But had I stuck with my plan yesterday instead of entering early I would have had a handsomely profitable day instead of a small loser: Yesterday’s plan for 9-16-2015
