Running low on time, took the kids to school this morning. All these are my standard, short into pop’s strategy. I’ll post more detail if I get caught up.
Today’s List: Full list from Yahoo Finance
Type of Trade: Bounce after morning crack.
Initial Entry: $31.68
Plan: Add into crack, stop at morning high, $31.80
Entry Notes: Thinking I’m pushing because of frustration from missing this at the open. But it is pulling.
Add Notes: Following the plan. Looks like ready to make a run for the morning lows.
Final Exit: $31.70
Closing Notes: Meh, tried it, never did anything, its Friday I’m out.
Waited all day yesterday for a short on $TASR, timed it well and profited well. Covered way to soon like usual, but I had a bunch of distractions going on. Lots on watch today so I’ll be patient and really focus on letting stuff come to me. Still need to do some Christmas shopping so it may be a half day for me.
Not sure why I have not entered this yet, guess I’m just really focused on not getting caught in the front side of the move. Will be watching closely today, looks like its prime to roll over.
GLAD I have avoided this, tons of range and lots of opportunities, but for me I have never felt like I had an edge, every time I went to enter it just felt 50/50 to me. Kind of the same as $ADXS, I would much rather wait till the backside.
While I don’t like trading real stocks, I’ve done ok on this over the last few days. Seems to be pretty easy to pick support and resistance levels and trade the channel. Beginning to get pretty overextend though. I’d like to see a pop to short into and maybe hold a little longer.
Almost identical comments to $TASR, real stock, I’ve traded it well, but have not held for a bigger more, would like to look to do that.
Missed the big drop, but I think this could be a very solid swing short with smaller size.
This is the last day I watch this, sick of looking at it. I like the chart but it seems to just want to track sideways.
Should have faded this late day, but again I had guys painting my office so it was very difficult to focus and feel like I was on top of things. Will look to short into a big move, and ideally fade all day.
Mixed day yesterday, up some down some back and forth. With the fed announcement and the crazy market I probably should have just sat on my hands. Crazy market and looks to continue today. I’ll be trading but all my sizes will be puny. Follow up on yesterday, a Friday, and going into the holiday who knows what might happen.
Traded this pretty well yesterday, played the channel between $6.20 and $6 a couple times. Thought about taking it overnight but since it never wanted to crack $6 convincingly I opted out. Got lucky there, news overnight, but it kind of looks like the same news from a couple days ago, so I’ll be watching. Entry watch: $7.00
Held this all day and took it overnight, spiking a little pre market, but I’ve just got a starter size, will hold and add as long as it does not get to crazy. But again with the market like it is I’m not to enthusiastic about swinging shorts. Entry watch: $2.70
This was my winner from yesterday, in and out way to much though. Had I just held from the HOD reject I would have done much better. But again market was so nutty I was covering into any drop and shorting any spike. Entry watch: $17.40
Holding a grudge on this, traded it basically the same as SPLS back on Wednesday and ended up losing on it, then yesterday it crapped. Considering my mindset I should probably stay away but I’ll be watching. Entry watch: Any big spikes
Keep forcing myself to avoid this until the backside. Lots of range, but still to crowded. Bummer is I may wait to long and miss it. Maybe if it can get back to $9.50’s I’ll look to enter. Entry watch: $9.50
I’d call this my primary watch, looking to get short into spikes. Entry watch: $5
Annoying stock, should have taken my gains yesterday, but I’m in so small I decided to be wait. Probably a mistake at this point. Entry watch: $8.50’s
Had this on watch yesterday but it dropped right out of the gate so I didn’t enter. Never really cracked though, looks to be getting pretty long in the tooth. Entry watch: $5
To biased on this, but willing to risk to the recent spike level $24.60. Just trying the late day fade again, willing to risk a little to ideally make a little.
Boredom trade, trying the late day fade, doesn’t seem to want to crack $24.30, but also doesn’t want to get through $24.50.
Probably 50/50 odds at best.
$COYN, my sole amazing long pick, I added this just because it came up and solely based on the name. I’m assuming it may move based on Ferguson.
Todays Trading Plan:
Struggling with trading half days this week. I’ve made pretty decent trades, but have rushed them to get out by noon. My primary focus is $JRJC, either a hard move to $10 or a crack under $9.15. Secondary watch is $DGLY, over under $6.50. Other than that, I’m going to push to not trade today unless it is just to good to miss. Tired of mediocre setups this week.
Probably to “real” of a company, but this standby generator hype is to much. Once everyone gets their power on, about 0.05% of people will actually get off of their asses and put in a standby generator.
Ethanol? They are still trying to make that crap??!? Corn costs 2X more then oil and probably 5X more then Nat Gas, and someone is still trying to turn it into fuel?!?!
Considering the growing police state, this thing should be solid lead pipe lock for a BUY! But I’ll be looking to fade it.
Probably to illiquid to mess with, but this bank is headquartered about 30 minutes from me, so I’ll watch out of curiosity.
